Jill & Heather Hildebrand Instructing at Abbotsford, B.C. Creative Expo
It is our pleasure to announce that Heather Hildebrand and Jill Hildebrand, two of our design team members and instructors, have been chosen to teach at B.C.'s first Creative Expo. This event is happening from Nov.8-10, 2007 in Abbotsford B.C. The girls will be teaching 9 different advanced classes featuring cards, layouts and altered projects. They are delighted to be part of this 2000 participant event and excited about the opportunity to be making even more Canadian connections in the scrapbooking community. Jill Hildebrand Chosen to Instruct on Scrapbooking Cruise!
Jill Hildebrand is still in "Pinch Me!" mode, since she was informed she has been selected as one of the instructors for the Norwegian Star's "Crop 'N Cruise" this coming November. Scrapbooking enthusiasts will enjoy 24-hour access to a cropping room on the ship with floor-to-ceiling windows providing a beautiful view of the ocean. The ship will stop at Acapulco, Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa, Puerta Vallarta, and Cabo Sans Lucas, all Mexican Riviera ports of call, during the 9-day cruise.
Jill will be teaching photography classes along with Allison Orthner, the cruise host and a professional photographer.The classes haven't yet been finalized, however Jill expects she will also be teaching layouts and altered project classes at the Intermediate or Advanced levels. The Crop 'N Cruise offers classes taught by six instructors, three of whom were chosen by "Allison & Friends" to work in this unique experience based on their outstanding scrapbooking talents.
Not only is Jill excited by the opportunity to make contacts in the Canadian Scrapbooking industry, and the possibility of future, similar work, she's excited about what this could potentially do for Bronwen's business as well. "I know that by doing this (teaching on a cruise), Smalltown Scrappers will get a lot of advertising and promotion. I am so thankful that Bronwen drives me to apply for these kinds of things and submit layouts for magazines. I owe her for having the contacts she does in this industry".
